Everything Old Is New Again
Our youngest son Jesse spent quite a bit of time over the Christmas holidays with the experienced fellas at the Cowaramup Bull (Men’s) Shed, including his grandfather Don Miller. Jesse really loved hanging out with the men learning the basics of woodworking…and a great deal about life too with these local characters!
Determined to keep developing his new skills, Jesse set his sights on creating his own workshop closer to home. He located a nice little space in his Dad’s workshop and swiftly appropriated a “generous” section of it! And so his backyard business began.
Jesse scouts out old timber from our farm and repurposes it into useful products. The wood he mostly uses is Jarrah and Marri and he’s created chopping boards, pizza trays and candle holders from them. Jesse has produced his own label “Raw and Rustic” and has negotiated with mum for some retail space in our Farm Cafe’s Gift Shop
Older brother Mitch saw that Jesse was making quite the tidy little earner from his labour and has decided to get in on the action with his own enterprise…watch this space for the next Miller entrepreneurial move!
